Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo Tuesday proposed P20 million for the meals and other basic needs of locally stranded individuals, returning overseas Filipino workers, and frontliners in Dumaguete City until September 2020.
Remollo said that since the imposition of Enhanced Community Quarantine until it was downgraded to General Community Quarantine, the city government has been spending for the daily packed meals of all frontliners, healthcare workers, personnel in the checkpoints, barangay tanods, including LSIs and OFWs, who were admitted to government isolation facilities.
He said the city was also providing for toiletries, sleeping quarters, and other basic necessities of LSIs and OFWs who are required to undergo quarantine.*
