“We met with several businessmen, who promised investments for Bacolod City.They gained a lot of interests in terms of business,” Benitez said, adding that they are looking forward to more progress.
The mayor cited the crowd at the MassKara sites especially during the highlights of the festival.
“People from all walks of life were happy and it has made a difference from the previous MassKara celebrations,” he said.
First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos with sons Vinny and House Deputy Speaker Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Araneta Marcos III stayed in the city for two days for the MassKara Festival.
Benitez also added that they are planning to host more activities in December in order to ensure further the continuous engagement of all business establishments in the city.
Meanwhile, Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MBCCI) Chief Executive Officer Frank Carbon said the celebration of the MassKara Festival in Bacolod City has helped the business community a lot as they are reporting good earnings.
Carbon said the state of the businesses in the city had vastly improved since July of this year, especially during this month’s MassKara Festival.
He said the city is recording a lot of tourist arrivals coming from Panay island, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, and from Mindanao, Luzon and other parts of the country and abroad as well.
