THE Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) is set to conduct simulation for the implementation of the Covid-19 vaccine rollout procedure, primarily focusing on the management and delivery process.
Dr. Ruby Constantino, regional director of the Department of Health (DOH)-CAR, said the simulation is in preparation for the arrival of the Covid-19 vaccines that will be forwarded by its central office to the regional health department before they are brought to the different city, provincial and municipal health offices in specific areas in the region.
“The simulation that will be done in the region is more on the implementation side, for example in the City of Baguio, the vaccine will be forwarded to the Baguio City Health Services Office and conducts series of steps. We still do not know what the specific vaccine would be provided to us” Constantino said.
Baguio City recently acquired two ultra cool storage facility capable of storing vaccines requiring a -70 to -80 degrees temperature suitable for Moderna and Pfizer.
Other vaccine producers require a +2 to +8 degree storage temperature setting.
