ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has reminded city residents to continue observing health protocols following the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in some parts of the country.
The mayor called on disobedient people living in the city to follow the government’s minimum health standards to prevent the spread of the virus.
Lazatin stressed that the coronavirus pandemic is not yet over and the national government is now recording an average of 3,000 new Covid-19 cases per day.
He urged his constituents to continue wearing face covers, social distancing and avoiding mass gatherings.
The City Health Office recorded 26 new coronavirus cases on March 12, 2021.
These brought the total number of Covid-19 patients to 2,315.
Lazatin said some 1,963 patients had recovered and 128 died from the virus.
