TWO senior citizens, an 82-year-old woman and a 72-year-old man, in Magalang town, Pampanga have contracted the coronavirus, according to the Municipal Health Office (MHO) on Friday, March 12, 2021.
The two elderly were among the five new coronavirus patients the local government recorded, as of Friday.
The 72-year old patient, Patient M214, is from Barangay San Jose. He was confined in a private hospital and his relatives were placed under home quarantine.
The 82-year-old patient, Patient M216, is residing at Barangay San Pablo. She was confined to a private hospital.
The three other cases were also from barangays San Jose and San Pablo, according to the MHO.
These brought the total number of Covid-19 cases in the town to 218, as of Friday.
Mayor Romy Pecson asked residents to observe health protocols to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in this agricultural municipality.
Of the 218 total Covid-19 patients, the mayor said 180 patients had recovered and 15 died from the virus.
