THE municipal government in Magalang town, Pampanga has recorded nine Covid-19 recoveries on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.
No new cases were reported on the same day, according to the local government.
“Magandang balita mga Magalenos. Nakapagtala tayo ng siyam na bagong recoveries ngayong araw, Oktubre 14, 2020. Wala rin tayong naitalang bagong kaso ng Covid-19 sa ating bayan ngayon,” the LGU said.
The town has listed a total of 76 Covid-19 cases, as of Wednesday.
The recent two cases include a 72-year-old woman from Barangay San Pedro. She is presently confined in a government hospital outside Magalang and her close contact was placed under home quarantine.
The senior citizen is the town’s 75th coronavirus patient.
Magalang’s 76th patient is a 27-year-old man from Barangay San Miguel and a frontline health worker.
He was exposed to a Covid-19 patient outside the town and his last visit to his family was on September 20.
The patient was placed under isolation and his family members had completed a 14-day quarantine.
The local government also reported the town’s sixth Covid-19-related death.
The patient, M60, died on Tuesday in a private hospital where she was confined since September 17.
The patient’s body will be cremated after release from the hospital.
