DESPITE the increase of coronavirus-positive employees at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), the hospital can still address the concerns in the general services as well as the Covid-19 response, liaison officer Dr. Bernard Rocha said on Friday, October 16.
“Kaya pa namo to address atong general services, although it is on a limited na karon,” Rocha said.
“Sa karon, the current status gyud sa NMMC is ok pa, makayanan pa namo to address the concerns in the general services, as well as ang atong Covid-19 response,” he added.
As of October 14, NMMC has 51 healthcare workers who tested positive the novel coronavirus. Of the figure, 45 are residents of Cagayan de Oro City.
Rocha said 20 Covid-positive healthcare workers have already recovered.
During the city’s daily press conference on Covid-19 on October 16, the City Health Office reported seven new healthcare workers who were infected with Covid-19, five of whom are from NMMC, namely, the 1,161st, 1,162nd, 1,164th, 1,165th and 1,166th cases.
