GUAGUA — Mayor Dante Torres announced three new coronavirus cases from Barangay San Matias (1) and Natividad (2).
One patient from Natividad and another from San Matias were positive in the rapid tests.
Both patients have been working in two separate companies and have been asked to undertake the tests as part of their employment.
Torres said that the two will be subjected to swab tests this week for confirmatory testing. Torres said that the patients have been placed in isolation and were not able to interact with people from their neighborhoods as they were already placed in isolation immediately after the release of the rapid test results.
“Whatever the results of the confirmatory tests, we are confident that all necessary steps have been taken,” Torres said.
Another patient from Natividad was positive in a swab test. The patient also works outside of Guagua town and has been placed under isolation when the results came out.
Two other direct contacts of a Covid-positive patient from San Fernando from Barangay Siran and Santo Niño were isolated and awaiting swab tests.
