NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson on Monday, June 28, 2021, said the vaccination program in the province is still stuck on A1 to A3 categories or those who are medical frontliners, senior citizens, and individuals with comorbidities.
“The latest update from Secretary Carlito Galvez is we will only civer A1 to A3. NCR (National Capital Region) is ahead considering that they are the economic center of the country that’s why they extended the coverage of the vaccination in NCR. For now, we are still stuck to A1 to A3,” Lacson said.
Lacson is pushing that A4 or frontline personnel in essential sectors, including uniformed personnel, be allowed already nationwide in the Covid-19 vaccination program of the government.
“I’m calling to allow the vaccination for A4 not only in NCR but all over the country already because a lot of these individuals belonging to A4 are more than willing to have a vaccine,” Lacson said.
