CAGAYAN de Oro City–Employees of Rural Transit Mindanao, Inc. (RTMI) in six branches in Mindanao were all smile as the bus company released their 13th-month benefits, bonuses and 15 days cash assistance in this time of health crisis brought about by Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19).
Celer Estologa, RTMI media relations officer, said all employees received their respective 15 days salary as cash advance and each received 5 kilos of rice. This, Estologa said, after the bus firm secured the green light from Mr. Leo Rey Yanson, president of Yanson Group of Bus Companies to distribute relief good and cash assistance.
He said that all employees from seven branches in Mindanao received the cash assistance and other goods.
Aside from the 13th-month pay, Estologa said employes from seven branches in Mindanao also received their respective 15-day cash assistance.
“We released their salaries even during the time that we temporarily stopped our operations due to Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ),” he told reporters.
He said the company also released the “signing bonuses” of their employees employed in their branches in the cities of Dipolog, Pagadian, Cagayan de Oro (Bulua and Yacapin branch), Butuan; and Davao region.
On one hand, John del Castillo, branch manager of Rural Transit Mindanao, Inc. (RTMI) of Bulua, distributed 5 kilos of rice on friday morning (May 8).
Estologa said the RTMI has distributed at least 1,050 bags containing 5 kilos of rice to all its employes in seven branches in Mindanao.
He said that the bus company will continue to help an look after the welfare of their employee at this time of health crisis brought about by Covid-19.
