NETIZENS have since last week been wishing the couple Mujiv Hataman and Sitti Djalia immediate recovery from coronavirus infection that followers believe they have contracted from being exposed to daily work hazards as elected leaders.
The deputy speaker Hataman is lone congressional representative of Basilan while spouse Sitti Djalia is mayor of Isabela City, a port hub in the island province.
They both tested positive for COVID-19.
Mayor Sitti Djalia announced early this week that they were both positive to coronavirus based on the examination of swab samples taken from them by medical frontliners, after they suffered from what seemed as allergic cough and slight fever.
“The results of our tests indicated that we are both positive for COVID-19,” said Turabin-Hataman.
“Sometimes Allah gives us trials. We trust in Allah,” the mayor said in a brief video message that circulated on social media.
