MOTORISTS and bikers are now asked to secure health clearances when traversing the Halsema National Highway.
They are also prohibited to conduct stopovers or visit tourist spots in the town amid the modified general community quarantine being implemented in Atok, Benguet.
He said there is a need to protect constituents of Atok town from the transmission of Covid-19.
Under the order, motorists and bikers are asked to have health certificate, while non-residents of the municipality are also asked to present itinerary of travels.
Stopovers are discouraged unless properly coordinated with the local government unit.
Non-residents of Atok are also prohibited to traverse along the barangay, municipal and provincial roads of the town.
Halsema Highway is one of the national highways in the country and stretches from the city limit of Baguio, Benguet towns and to Bontoc in Mt. Province.
