This was gleaned during Caluag’s meeting with CSFP Kalesa Association led by its president Russel Luzung.
The group sought the assistance of the city government regarding their queueing system at the city proper.
Caluag directed Public Order and Safety Coordinating Officer Louie Clemente to arrange a decent terminal for the association in the Poblacion area.
She also vowed to provide help for the well-being of their carriage horses like vitamins and medications from the City Agriculture and Veterinary Office.
The move is part of Caluag administration’s commitment to
preserve the Kalesa industry in the city and its corresponding traditions and providing support to coachmen or “Kutcheros.”
The mayor pledged to support the Kalesa association under the city’s tourism projects.
