Acting Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda led the distribution of P8,000 to each CDW which amounted to a total of P5,440,000.
Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) said this amount is given three times a year to CDWs–who take care of and meet the needs of children aged 3-4 years old.
Along with the distribution of the subsidy, the Alagang Nanay Preventive Healthcare Program health specialists also shared with the CDWs the signs and symptoms and even the ways to prevent diseases, such as depression, tuberculosis, hypertension, and others among young children.
The program also explained how to properly care for the teeth.
The purpose of this is to raise the awareness of CDWs, and encourage them to take care of their health, and that of children under their care.
