ILOILO City – A 33-year-old Chinese businessman was arrested inside a motel on Avanceña Street, Molo district.
Jack Liu, who was temporarily residing in Barangay Muelle Loney, City Proper, was caught on Oct. 12 at around 9:40 p.m. in an entrapment operation conducted by the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit (RACU) of the Police Regional Office 6.
According to RACU’s Police Lieutenant Colonel Artemio Ricabo, the suspect’s former girlfriend, a 22-year-old woman from Lemery, Iloilo, sought their help.
She was scared that their intimate videos would spread on social media, according to Ricabo.
The entrapment was planned.
The suspect was detained at the Molo police station. He faces charges for violation of Article 286 or Grave Coercion under Section 6 of Republic Act (RA) 10175, RA 9995 or Anti-Photo And Video Voyeurism Act of 2009, and RA 9262 or Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act of 2004./PN
