Central Luzon Covid cases hit 98,684; deaths climb to 2,223

CONFIRMED coronavirus cases in Central Luzon have reached a total of 98,684, according to the latest data from the Department of Health (DOH). The total number of deaths also increased to 2,323 cases.

Of the total number of confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic, some 89,084 cases have since recovered while 7,277 remained active.

Bulacan province still had the most number of cases at 42,998, with Pampanga registering some 18,857. Nueva Ecija followed at a close third with 10,025 cases. Bataan had recorded 7,695 cases while Tarlac recorded 7,037.

Some 8,684 cases have been recorded in the region in the last 14 days, according to the DOH.

Bulcan also had the most number of deaths in the region with 830 recorded cases, as of press time. Pampanga was second with 595 cases, followed by Nueva Ecija with 275 deaths. Bataan also recorded a significant number of deaths at 178.

In Angeles City alone, coronavirus deaths were at 174 cases, according to the DOH.
