Magalang residents urged to continue Covid-19 measures

THE local government of Magalang has appealed to the town residents to continue measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

The call came after the municipality was placed under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) for the entire December.

“Mananatiling nasa MGCQ and bayan ng Magalang hanggang Disyembre 3, 2020, ayon kay President Rodrigo Duterte. Patuloy po tayong mag ingat,” the local government unit (LGU) stated.

The Municipal Government recorded 99 recoveries out of the 127 Covid-19 cases as of November 30.

The Municipal Health Officer reported 18 active cases, 14 suspected cases, and three probable cases as of November 30.

The local government has recorded a total of 10 deaths related to the virus.

The LGU at the same time belied reports that public markets will be closed on Christmas Day.

“Wala pong utos ang ating alkalde at ang ating gobernador hinggil dito,” it added.
