SOME 1,176 cases or 60 percent of the total 1,951 still active Covid-19 cases in Central Luzon are currently exhibiting mild symptoms, according to a December 15 report of the Department of Health (DOH) in the region.
A further 37.2 percent or 725 cases are asymptomatic, while 2.2 percent or 42 cases are currently severe. There are also eight cases that are currently critical.
This, as the current number of confirmed cases in Central Luzon continue to rise with 24,428 cases recorded as of December 15.
Of the said cases, some 21,580 or 88.3 percent have already recovered.
The region’s mortality rate is currently at 3.7 percent with a total of 897 deaths recorded as of Wednesday, December 16.
For December 15 alone, 56 new active cases have been recorded in Nueva Ecija with another 52 cases in Pampanga. Bulacan also reported 51 new cases, while Angeles City reported 24 new cases.
Bulacan remains as the highest in confirmed cases with 9, 847 followed by Pampanga, Bataan, Nueva Ecija and Zambales.
