THE City of San Fernando Water District and Prime Water extended support to the city government’s effort in combating the spread of the corona virus and in the ongoing relief operations in the city.
General Manager Jorge Gumba and Prime Water Branch Manager Jan Canlas formally turned over to Mayor Edwin Santiago a cheque donation of P300, 000 as well as 250 sacks of 25-kilogram rice and personal protective equipment (PPEs) at the Heroes Hall Thursday, April 30.
Gumba said the donations are the water utility’s contribution to the effort to stem the spread of the corona virus. He added that the water district is aware of the needs of the city as it grapples to prevent further community infection.
“The donations would go to many who need support at these trying times. The water district is in full support of the local government in combating this virus,” Gumba said.
Mayor Edwin Santiago told SunStar Pampanga that the donations will go a long way in the still ongoing enhanced community quarantine. He added that the city is fortunate to have the support of different sectors.
“We are doubling our efforts for relief operations as well as the release of all possible support to our communities this week,” Santiago said.
