BARANGAY Lapasan is the village that holds the highest case fatality rate in Cagayan de Oro at 6.44 percent.

But the village with the most number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19)-related deaths in the city is Barangay Carmen, recording 111 total deaths.

The barangay with the second highest case fatality rate is Bugo with 4.92 percent, followed by Canitoan with 4.50 percent.

Barangays with case fatality rate less than four percent are Camaman-an, (3.91 percent), Bulua (3.58 percent), Kauswagan (3.50 percent), Patag (3.49 percent), Carmen (3.24 percent), Iponan (3.14 percent), Gusa (3.10 percent), Balulang (2.67 percent) and Lumbia (2.51 percent).

Barangays with the most number of Covid-related deaths after Carmen are Kauswagan with 78 deaths; Lapasan – 71; Balulang – 58; Bugo – 58; Bulua – 53; Iponan – 44; Patag – 41; Lumbia – 38; Canitoan – 38; Gusa – 36; and Camaman-an – 34.

Barangay Carmen also has the most number of Covid-19 cases in the city at 3,422.

The rest of the barangays are Kauswagan with 2,230 cases; Balulang – 2,172; Lumbia – 1,516; Bulua – 1,482; Iponan – 1,402; Bugo – 1,180; Patag – 1,175; Gusa – 1,160; Lapasan – 1,102; Camaman-an – 870; and Canitoan – 845.
