BARANGAY Carmen is still the village with the most number of active cases in Cagayan de Oro as of August 20, 2021, recording a total of 360 active cases.
The cumulative number of active cases in the city has climbed to 2,810, of which 769 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city, and 2,041 were outpatients.
According to the report of the City Health Office, following Barangay Carmen are Barangays Balulang, recording 218 active cases; Kauswagan with 217 cases; Lumbia with 188 cases; Bulua with 173 cases; Iponan with 141; Bugo with 131 cases; Macasandig with 112 cases; Lapasan with 107 cases; and Patag with 99 cases.
Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro as of August 20 was 259,108, of which 177,282 received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines and 81,826 were fully vaccinated.
According to the data, of the 259,708 vaccinated individuals, 196,622 were vaccinated in city-run vaccination sites while 62,486 were vaccinated in the hospitals.
Among those who were vaccinated in city-run vaccination sites, 24,623 were frontline healthcare workers (A1 group), 52,097 were senior citizens (A2 group), 68,006 were persons with comorbidities (A3 group), 47,457 were essential frontline workers (A4 group), 1,221 were from the A5 group, and 3,.218 were others from Filipino-Chinese community.
