CASES of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Cagayan de Oro have slightly declined as the City Health reported 145 new infections, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the city to 15,662.
Of the 145 new confirmed cases, 60 were local index cases, 37 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 28 local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), 12 Apors with link, and eight mortalities.
Cagayan de Oro recorded 2,810 active cases, 769 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 2,041 were outpatients.
The city also registered 97 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as “recovered.” This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 12,117.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was now at 675.
Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated individuals who tested positive for coronavirus in Cagayan de Oro is now at 2,763.
Of the 2,763 vaccinees, 1,744 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 536 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 197 with Pfizer, 143 with Sputnik V, 137 with Janssen, three with Sinopharm, three with Moderna.
Of the 1,744 coronavirus-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 1,344 individuals were experiencing mild symptoms, 280 were asymptomatic, 113 were moderate cases, and seven were severe cases.
Among the 536 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 394 individuals had mild symptoms, 104 were asymptomatic, 35 had moderate symptoms, and three were severe cases.
