BARANGAY Carmen is still the village with the most number of active cases in Cagayan de Oro as of August 6, recording a total of 253 active cases.
The cumulative number of active cases in the city has risen to 1,942, of which 560 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city, and 1,382 were outpatients.
According to the report of the City Health Office, following Barangay Carmen are Barangays Balulang, recording 169 active cases; Kauswagan with 152 cases; Lumbia with 151 cases; Iponan with 113 cases; Bulua with 95; Canitoan with 94 cases; Macasandig with 87 cases; Bugo with 85 cases; and Gusa with 71 cases.
Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro as of August 6 was 163,356, of which 107,721 received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines and 55,635 were fully vaccinated.
According to the data, of the 163,356 vaccinated individuals, 22,421 were frontline healthcare workers (A1 group), 50,761 were senior citizens (A2 group), 62,176 were persons with comorbidities (A3 group), 25,775 were essential frontline workers (A4 group), and 2,223 were others from Filipino-Chinese community.
