CASES of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Cagayan de Oro have slightly declined as the City Health reported 136 new infections, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the city to 13,546.
Of the 136 new confirmed cases, 95 were local index cases, 21 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, nine local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), three Apors with link, and eight mortalities.
Cagayan de Oro recorded 1,942 active cases, 560 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 1,382 were outpatients.
The city also registered 74 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as “recovered.” This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 11,019.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was now at 585.
Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated individuals who tested positive for coronavirus in Cagayan de Oro is now at 1,942.
Of the 1,942 vaccinees, 1,234 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 384 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 132 with Pfizer, 99 with Sputnik V, 27 with Janssen, and three with Sinopharm.
Of the 1,234 coronavirus-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 936 individuals were experiencing mild symptoms, 208 were asymptomatic, 85 were moderate cases, and five were severe cases.
Among the 384 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 268 individuals had mild symptoms, 84 were asymptomatic, 30 had moderate symptoms, and two were severe cases.
