THE Riverside Medical Center in Bacolod City reported Monday, July 20, 2020, that its isolation facility, which is specifically being used for admitting and treating patients with Covid-19, has already reached its full capacity.
In a statement issued by the private hospital, it said it can no longer accept patients for admission who are exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19, effective Monday, July 20.
The local medical center advised patients who are showing symptoms of Covid-19 to seek admission to an alternate healthcare facility of their choice.
The hospital said non-Covid and ancillary areas of the hospital continue to be operational for both outpatient services and patient admissions. Likewise, the Medical Arts Building also remains open for scheduled medical consultations.
The hospital also affirmed that due to the level of their exposure to patients, several of its own healthcare personnel have recently started exhibiting symptoms.
However, the hospital management assured the public that the medical personnel in question have already been placed in isolation and are now undergoing treatment. Contact tracing has also been initiated.
The hospital will also undergo disinfection and terminal cleaning, adding the patients’ safety remains their paramount priority.
