ROXAS City – More vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) will be delivered to Capiz province by the national government.
According to Dr. Alex Nolasco, officer in charge of the Provincial Health Office, 1,790 vials of Sinovac vaccines will serve as second doses for inoculation to healthcare workers who have already received their first dose.
The impending delivery would raise to 2,440 the COVID-19 vaccine vials of Capiz intended for healthcare workers in nine hospitals.
The Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital is getting a total of 650 doses; Bailan District Hospital, 180; Mambusao District Hospital, 150; Sen. Gerardo M. Roxas Memorial District Hospital, 120; and Tapaz District Hospital, 90. These are all government-run hospitals.
For private hospitals, the Capiz Doctors’ Hospital, Inc. will be getting a total of 300 vials; Capiz Emmanuel Hospital, Inc., 350; St. Anthony College Hospital, Inc., 450; while The Health Centrum Hospital, Inc. gets 150.
To note, the second batch of 16,880 doses of Sinovac vaccines for Western Visayas arrived in Iloilo on March 10.
Aside from Sinovac, the region also received a total of 10, 000 doses of Aztraceneca’s COVID-19 vaccines./PN
