Despite bad weather conditions, authorities are still searching for Lazzlo Matyas, a 63-year-old Hungarian national in Bago City, Negros Occidental, who was reported missing since January 9.
Negrense Jane Alvarez reported to the police that Matyas, her live in partner, was nowhere to be found when she returned to their home on Jan. 9 in Brgy. Sampinit, Bago City.
Matyas arrived in Bago City, Negros Occidental, in October 6 last year to meet Alvarez, whom he met through an online dating app, according to the police.
PLt. Col. Joem Malong, Bago City police chief, disclosed that on Jan. 9, two witnesses saw Matyas walking along the shoreline of Brgy. Sampinit, attempting to cross the Sibud creek there, as the water level was increasing.*
