The municipality of Ilog has been added to the list of local government units in Negros Occidental, placed under Alert Level 1, based on the executive order issued by Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson
This brings to 12 the total number of LGUs in the province, including cities of Sagay, Victorias, La Carlota, Cadiz and Talisay, as well as EB Magalona, Pulupandan, San Enrique, Candoni, Pontevedra, Valladolid, placed under most relaxed quarantine classification until July 31.
It tells us that if we exert more effort, probably in the vaccination, then the alert level can go down, Lacson said.
In his issued Executive Order No. 22-34, Series of 2022, Lacson said that the remaining 19 LGUs of the province will remain at Alert Level 2.
Negros Occidental logged 14 new cases on July 20, bringing to 54 the total active COVID-19 cases in the province, excluding Bacolod City, records of the Provincial Incident Management Team show.*
