AT least 2,000 anti-Covid-19 vaccines were administered at newly transferred vaccination hubs in district health offices, said Davao City Covid-19 Task Force spokesperson Dr. Michelle Schlosser on July 20.
Since its opening on July 6, 2022, a total of 2,120 vaccines have been administered as of July 15 across all districts. Schlosser said during a radio interview that this was a good turnout.
At the same time, Schlosser said the weekend vaccination at Agdao district health center garnered more vaccinees during their Saturday rollout rather than their weekday schedules, because of this the Task Force and the vaccination cluster are proposing a weekend schedule across all the district health centers.
The overall vaccination statistics of Davao City, based on the data of the Department of Health in Davao Region (DOH-Davao) as of July 18 is 1,320,844 fully vaccinated individuals or 86.3 percent of the target population.
Meanwhile, 72.14 percent of the 12 to 17 years old population group are fully vaccinated, and the five to 11 years old group has 19,129 vaccinated or 7.90 percent of their population target.
However, Schlosser said the statistics for booster vaccines remain low. As of July 15, only 21.4 percent of fully vaccinated individuals have received their first booster dose, while 14.16 percent are administered with the second booster dose.
The pediatric population of 12 to 17 years old also vaccinated 712 with the first booster.
“The only problem that we have is ang pagpataas sa atong booster doses (to increase the booster dose statistics),” she said.
Regionwide, 3,215,255 are fully vaccinated, which is 73.1 percent of the target population 4,397,683. ICM
