TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – COVID-19 cases in this province has 78 active cases as of July 13, provincial health office reported.
In Tuguegarao City, there are 44 active COVID-19 cases, followed by Santa Ana with eight (8) active cases, Piat, Lal-lo with six (6) active cases per town, Solana with four (4), Peñablanca with three (3), Gattaran and Allacapan with two (2) per town, Abulug, Gonzaga and Santa Teresita with one reported active cases per town.
Meanwhile, the local government units have urged the public to get COVID-19 vaccines as the coming school year will have a face-to-face medium.
Based on the Department of Education (DepEd) order signed by Vice President and concurrent education secretary Sara Duterte, classes will start open on August 22.
Duterte directed all public and private schools in the country to transition to five days of face-to-face classes beginning November 2.
“Starting November 2, 2022, all public and private schools shall have transitioned to five days in-person classes. After the said date, no school shall be allowed to implement purely distance learning or blended learning except for those that are implementing Alternative Modes,” Duterte said. TNF
