Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – Right after Presidential daughter Sara Duterte announced her withdrawal from the Mayoral race in Davao City, Senator and Vice Presidential bid Christopher Bong Go has disclosed that he may change his plans for the 2022 polls.
Senator Go became emotional on Tuesday as he told the press that there may be changes in his 2022 elections plans.
Go said in a statement, “Itong kandidatura ko bilang bise presidente ay maaaring magbago. Gustuhin ko man magsilbi sa inyo bilang bise presidente, pero sa kagustuhan ng ating mahal na Pangulo, kailangan ko pong umiwas.”
The Senator added that the changes may be announced in the coming days as the end of the substitution period of the Commission on Elections nears on November 15.
Under the Comelec’s Resolution, substitution is allowed only when a candidate withdraws, disqualified by the poll body and or dies. TNF
With Sebastian Duterte now running for Mayor in Davao, Sara did not comment on any substitution plans for any national position.
The Duterte siblings also did disclose any information regarding the switch.
Back in 2015, President Rodrigo Duterte also withdrew from the Mayoral race in Davao City and substituted the former Presidential bid of the PDP-Laban party. TNF
