Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – In a surprising turn of events, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go has withdrawn his bid for Vice President and has filed his candidacy for President as Presidential aspirant and PDP-Laban party-mate Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa backed out on Saturday afternoon, November 13.
Although it is still unclear if Senator Go has resigned from the Cusi Wing PDP-Laban party, Go has substituted for Pederalismo ng Dugong Dakilang Samahan Presidential bet Grepor Belgica who also withdrew on Saturday.
Earlier in the afternoon, Dela Rosa’s withdrawal came just hours after Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte lodged her substitution papers to run for Vice Presidency through a representative.
Dela Rosa also told the media that his decision for withdrawal is to follow a party decision.
Before the withdrawals and substitutions, the country’s former top cop was the standard bearer of the PDP-Laban Party under Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, with Senator Bong Go as their Vice Presidential bet. TNF
