TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) Chief Dr. Glenn Mathew Baggao has urged the public to donate more blood for the blood bank.
He said that there is scarcity when it comes to blood supply due to the effect of the pandemic. “Medyo may scarcity kasi nga yung risk na magkaroon ng hawaan dahil baka di ma observe ang social distancing,” Baggao pointed out.
In a recent blood letting activity on July 25, Iguig town collected 345 blood bags which added supply to the blood bank of the hospital. The CVMC has collected 3,879 blood bags since January 2021.
The medical chief is grateful to Local Government Units and private organizations for generously conducting blood-letting activities. “So we continue to advocate and appeal to those who are qualified to donate in this noble act of helping save lives,” Baggao said.
Although we are still in a pandemic, Baggao assured that during such activities, health protocols are being strictly observed. TNF
