In the study carried out by the group, camia is currently planted on a 30-hectare land in the town of Lubao.
This flower is used as decoration in garlands.
The sale of a bundle or 100 pieces of camia ranges from P1 to P20 depending on the season or the amount of harvest.
To help farmers in their production, DHVSU researchers will conduct a study with the help of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
The aim of said research is to find out the right technology and irrigation that should be used to improve flower production throughout the year.
The said study is also expected to determine if it is possible to use cotton juice as a perfume and body scent.
Vice Governor Pineda said the study is a big help to give opportunities to farmers in the province.
