This was confirmed by Maglanque to SunStar Pampanga via a text message Tuesday morning, January 4, saying he was already recuperating from the disease.
Maglanque said he first felt symptoms of the disease and immediately isolated himself from his family.
On January 3, the mayor said he underwent antigen testing, which showed a positive result, prompting him to immediately have an RT-PCR test, which confirmed the earlier test result.
This is the second time Maglanque contracted the virus after his first infection in July 2020.
He, meanwhile, assured that services of the municipal hall will remain unhampered while he is in quarantine.
He said he already ordered the Municipal Health Office to immediately purchase medicines and antigen kits, as well as prepare all isolation centers in preparation for a possible surge.
He enjoined the public to always prioritize their and their family’s safety by following all health protocols.
