THE local government of San Simon, Pampanga, in partnership with the Department of Information, Communications and Technology (DICT), formally launched the VaxCertPH, the official Vaccination Certificate for fully vaccinated individuals against Covid-19.

According to Information Technology Department Staff Ernesto Bello, the certificates can be used by overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who are scheduled and needed to go out of the country for employment as proof of vaccination.

“Aside from the regular vaccine cards issued after the vaccination, OFWs who need proof of vaccination can also request for the official vaccine certificate or VaxCert here at our vaccination center,” he explained.

He added that vaccinees who do not have time to visit their office can also access their certificates online via VaxCertPH official website at www.vaxcert.gov.ph.

He clarified that certificates will only be available at least two days after they get their full vaccination.

Acting Mayor Leonora Wong, for her part, said the launching of VaxCertPH in town is part of her administration’s Feast or Fast, Effective, Accountable, Simple and Transparent program.

“Innovation has always been one of the brands of my administration that’s why when we learned about this VaxCertPH system, we immediately adapted it here in San Simon for the convenience of OFWs who have long been affected by the ongoing pandemic,” she said.

She added that the launching of VaxCertPH is a testament that the local government is steadfast in its goal of protecting all of its residents against Covid-19.

“As of today, we are happy to share that the supply of vaccines in our town has improved but we cannot administer all at the same time. We have to follow protocols, specifically the maintenance of social distance so we have to follow the schedule. But rest assured that our health workers are working hard to ensure a safe and fast vaccination process,” she said.
