THE Department of Education Regional Office (DepEd)-Central Luzon reported its advanced level readiness in line with the opening of classes in public schools on September 13, 2021.

During the Oplan Balik Eskwela Virtual Media Conference held Tuesday, September 7, DepEd Regional Director May Eclar said all the 3,656 public elementary and secondary schools in the region are ready for the opening of classes.

“Bagamat ang nakaraang taong panuruan ay hindi naging madali para sa atin, lalo na sa mga guro at mga namamahala ng ating mga paaralan, ngunit doon natin nakita ang ating kalakasan at katatagan. Ang mga aral ng nakaraang panuruang taon ang siya ring ginamit ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon dito sa rehiyon upang mas mapagbuti natin ang paghahatid ng edukasyon sa ating mga mag-aaral sa panuruang taon na ito,” she said.

(The past school year has not been easy for us, especially for the teachers and administrators of our schools, but it is there that we have seen our strength and resilience. The lessons of the previous school year were also used by the DepEd-Central Luzon so that we can better deliver education to our students this school year.)

Based on the school readiness report, DepEd Central Luzon obtained an average of 81.19-percent advanced level of readiness and the factors that show advanced level of readiness are planning and governance, teacher support, school head support, support to parents and guardians and health and safety protocols. Meanwhile, factors that still need to be given attention before the school opening are enrollment, learning resources and learner support and well-being.

As of date, DepEd-Central Luzon registered a total of 1.85 million enrollees in all sectors or 66 percent of last year’s enrollment and this is 69 percent of the projected enrollment of 2.70 million. Enrollment in all public schools will be until September 13, 2021.

On the other hand, DepEd Central Luzon also launched its Regional Public Assistance Command Center to address various issues and concerns regarding school opening. Learners, parents, and other stakeholders may request assistance from the Regional OBE-PACC through these hotlines:
