CAGAYAN de Oro City recorded 117 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases Wednesday, September 8, 2021, of which one is a locally stranded individual (LSI) and 116 are local transmissions.
This brought the cumulative number of infections in the city to 18,072.
Of the 116 new confirmed local cases, 67 were local index cases, 27 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases; 19 local authorized persons outside residence (Apors); two Apors with link; and one mortality.
Cagayan de Oro recorded 3,676 active cases, 892 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 2,769 were outpatients and 15 were ROFs/LSIs.
The city also registered 61 new recoveries. This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 13,623.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city rose to 773.
Meanwhile, the City Health Office recorded a total number of vaccinated confirmed coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro has reached 3,985.
According to the City Health Office, of the 3,985 vaccinees, 2,491 were vaccinated with Sinovac; 754 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca; 266 with Pfizer; 231 with Sputnik V; 229 with Janssen; four with Sinopharm; and 10 with Moderna.
Of the 2,491 coronavirus-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 1,973 individuals are experiencing mild symptoms; 359 are asymptomatic; 152 have moderate symptoms; and seven are severe cases.
Among the 754 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 563 individuals have mild symptoms; 138 are asymptomatic; 49 have moderate symptoms; and four severe cases.
