THREE senior citizens and their companions were arrested by local authorities and Pampanga 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) in Sta. Ana during anti-illegal gambling operations launched in Barangay San Nicolas.
Pampanga 2nd PMFC Force Commander Lieutenant Colonel Paul Gamido said the senior citizens and 13 other individuals were arrested for either spearheading or betting in an illegal cockfight.
Police were able to confiscate six live fighting cocks, two dead fighting cocks, cockfighting paraphernalia and cash amounting to 4,840.
Arrested persons will be facing charges for violations of PD 1602 or the Illegal Gambling law as amended by Republic Act (RA) 9287 and RA 11332.
