THE Central Luzon Department of Agriculture (DA), in collaboration with the Municipal Agriculture Office of Carranglan, Nueva Ecija, conducted the distribution of free certified seeds and hybrid seeds for the wet cropping season this year to farmers starting in May.
Currently, farmers in the area have received about 3,180 sacks of seeds. The purpose of the project is to increase the quality, increase the supply of rice and have a bountiful harvest and high income for Filipino farmers.
It is estimated that the total target to receive from the National Rice Program and Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund project in the municipality is 4,975 hectares.
