A total of 77 healthcare providers in Davao Region are already accredited in the Konsultang Sulit at Tama (KonSulta) Package program at the start of the year, according to the regional Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth-Davao).
Johanna Blason, PR officer of PhilHealth-Davao, said this includes both private and public health establishment providers, including all health centers in Davao City.
“Atong mga private facilities nagadaghan na pud (Our private facilities are increasing). Sauna ang gina-announce lang is (Before it was only) Buda Community Hospital, Davao Doctors Hospital, ECOMED, and Lanang Premier Doctors Hospital. Karon nadungagan na tong private facilities,” Blason said.
She added that they continue to accredit health establishments for the Konsulta Package program, especially in remote places like Davao Occidental which only has three accredited facilities.
“Isa ni sa focus nato karon tuiga sa atong accreditation team – na libuton gihapon ang atong mga facilties para maenganyo nato sila and madungagan ang providers nato (This is one of our focus for this year – to visit facilities around the region and invite them to become accredited providers),” Blason said.
On the other hand, PhilHealth has suspended the rate hike for the premium contribution of members which was supposed to be 4.5 percent to be implemented by the start of 2023.
Filbert Sollesta, division chief of Field Operations of PhilHealth-Davao, said this was done to alleviate the expenses of members due to the increasing cost of basic and prime goods because of inflation.
As of now, the premium contribution rate remains at four percent of the basic monthly salary of P10,000 up to the ceiling rate of P80,000. ICM
