TASK Force (TF)-Davao is planning to promote a culture of security in the city among students in schools in Davao City.
“Pupunta na tayo sa pag-propagate at pag-advocate sa mga kabataan (we will be propagating and advocating it to the youth),” TF-Davao Commander Col. Darren Comia said.
Comia said they will focus on students from elementary to high school because the adults are already aware of it.
“Because I believe na young as they are, kailangan na nilang maitindihan at maalalahanan na concern din ang ating mga kabataan sa security ng ating lugar sa Davao City (they need to know and understand how important security is in Davao City),” he said.
He added that they already have prepared materials intended for elementary and high school students.
“As they grow old, kung sila mamumuno sa generation nila, at least na-embed na sa kanila young as they are ‘yong culture of security na kailangan na kailangan dito sa Davao City (and if they become a leader, at least we have already embedded the culture of security of Davao young as they are),” Comia said.
He said they already coordinated with the Schools Division Superintendent to discuss the proposal.
“Hinihintay ko nalang ang (We are just waiting for the) appointment with the School Division Superintendent (SDS) and we intend to go down to all private and public schools,” he said. KSD
