THE Davao City Government said some SafeDavao QR (DQR) code holders might be experiencing technical problems in logging in to their accounts.

The city, through the SafeDavao QR Facebook page Wednesday morning, December 8, explained that this was due to the ongoing data importation.

“Tungod sa padayon nga (Due to the ongoing) data importation, adunay mahitabo nga posibleng paglangan sa pag-log in sa inyong (there will be a possible delay in the logging in the) DQR account pinaagi sa (through) Website o (or) Mobile App Scanner,” the city wrote in an advisory.

The technical glitch came two days after Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio announced that the city will be giving out Christmas “pahalipay” (gifts) through the SafeDavao QR (DQR) code beginning December 8.

Hours after the city made the announcement, some DQR holders said on their social media posts that they cannot open profiles.safe-davao.com.

Some were able to access the website but could not log in. Those who tried using the app also noted that it kept on crashing.

The local government also apologized for the inconvenience the recent system changes caused.

But the city reminded the public not to rush in getting the grocery packs as DQR holders can still claim them until January 31, 2022.

City Human Resource and Management Office (HRMO) Lemuel Ortonio said in a radio interview that eligible grantees of the “Pahalipay” are Dabawenyos 18 years old and above, regardless of vaccination status for as long as they are residents of Davao and not employees of the City Government.

“Maka-claim gihapon. Wala tay discrimination (They can still claim. We don’t discriminate) as to your vaccination status,” he said in an interview on 87.5 FM Davao City Disaster Radio.

He said each grocery pack worth P400 contains rice, canned goods, and spaghetti noodles.

“Ang himuon lang is to log-in sa DQR para makita asa i-claim ang supplies (What you need to do is to log in on DQR to know where they could claim the supplies),” Ortonio said.

Ortonio said the City Government employees are exempted from availing themselves of the Christmas gifts since they have their own gifts and goods from the government.

The “Pahalipay” program is in partnership with various grocery shops, which provided the supplies for the gifts.

Ortonio asked Dabawenyos to be patient in receiving their grocery as they lengthened the number of days of receiving the grocery packs to equitably divide the number of people and avoid mass gatherings.

He said the use of the DQR system for the Pahalipay is to avoid gatherings by spreading out the locations where Dabawenyos can claim their gifts.

The activity is also closely coordinated with suppliers and the Public Safety and Security Command Center (PSSSCC) to deploy personnel and secure the distribution area.

While the Pahalipay is for the general public, Ortonio said certain groups are regular beneficiaries — persons living with HIV-Aids, indigents, Barangay Health Nutrition Scholars — and may receive vouchers with higher value.
