Corporal Clifford Lerio, an investigator of the Talisay City Police Station, identified the victim as 19-year-old Alvin Cuero Cinco, a native of Tuburan in western Cebu.
According to a witness, Cinco was standing a few meters from the stall where he worked when a man wearing a hoodie walked up to him and shot him in the back. The bullet reportedly exited his chest.
Talisay City police are looking at a love triangle as a possible motive for the murder since Cinco was recently linked to a woman.
Lieutenant Colonel Randy Caballes, chief of the Talisay City Police Station, said they’ve identified the suspect, but he did not disclose the name.
Caballes said they’ve launched a manhunt to arrest the gunman.
Members of the Scene of the Crime Operation recovered an empty shell from what they believed to be a .45 pistol. (BBT, PJB)
