Of the 28 active infections in the city, 17 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city and 11 were outpatients.
According to City Health Office medical officer Dr. Teodoro Yu Jr., Cagayan de Oro recorded only five new cases, of which one was an index case, two were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and two were persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).
The index case is an unvaccinated seven-year-old female from Barangay Indahag.
The two Apors are a 25-year-old female from Barangay Carmen, and a 31-year-old female from Barangay 24. Both of them are vaccinated.
The two PDLs are a 21-year-old male from Barangay Lumbia and a 26-year-old male from Barangay Bayabas. Both of them are unvaccinated.
The cumulative number of infections in the city was at 25,755.
The city also registered five new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as “recovered.” This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 24,793.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remained at 934.
