Based on the data presented by the City Health Office, the barangay with the highest number of active cases was Carmen at 201 cases.
It was followed by Barangay Kauwsagan with 167 cases, Balulang with 151 cases, Lumbia with 149 cases, Patag with 91 cases, Macasandig with 90 cases, Bulua with 88 cases, Gusa and Bugo with 86 cases, Iponan with 84 cases, Lapasan with 60 cases, Camaman-an with 59 cases, Canitoan with 55 cases, Nazareth with 54 cases, Tablon with 44 cases, Cugman with 37 cases, Indahag with 31 cases, Agusan with 29 cases, Bayabas with 25 cases, and Bonbon with 23 cases.
The cumulative number of active cases in Cagayan de Oro has climbed to 1,789, of which 311 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 1,391 were outpatients, and 87 are returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals.
Meanwhile, majority or 89 percent of Covid-19 mortalities recorded in Cagayan de Oro City were unvaccinated individuals.
As of February 17, the city had a total of 912 Covid-19 deaths, of which 808 were unvaccinated individuals while 104 were vaccinated individuals.
