The city now has a total of 20,606 Covid-19 cases.
The City Health Office said of the 56 local cases, one was a locally stranded individual (LSI), five were returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs) and 50 were local transmissions.
According to City Health Office medical officer Dr. Ted Yu, of the 50 new local cases, 26 were local index cases, 11 were local cases with link, six were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), four were Apors with link, and three were persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).
The active cases in Cagayan de Oro went up to 160, of which 40 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 109 were outpatients, and 11 were ROFs/LSIs.
Cagayan de Oro also registered a slight increase in the number of new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as “recovered.”
Over the weekend, the city recorded five recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 19,594.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remained at 852.
