Active Covid cases in Cagayan de Oro rise to 188

THE City Health Office reported on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, that Cagayan de Oro logged 29 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

The increase in the number of new cases recorded in the city in the past few days brought the number of active Covid cases up to 188, 46 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city, 130 were outpatients, and 12 ROFs/LSIs.

According to City Health Office medical officer Dr. Ted Yu, of the 29 new cases, one was a returning overseas Filipino (ROF), 15 were local index cases, eight were local cases with link, four were authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and one Apor with link.

The cumulative number of infections in the city is now at 20,635.

The city also registered only one new coronavirus-positive person who was now tagged as “recovered.” This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 19,595.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remained at 852, with no new Covid-related death recorded in Cagayan de Oro.
