According to the City Health Office, of the 26 new cases, one was a locally stranded individual (LSI) and 25 were local transmissions.
Among the 25 new local cases, 14 were local index cases, three were local cases with link, three were authorized persons outside residence (Apors), two were Apors with link, and three were persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).
The city health noted a rise in the number of active cases in the city.
Cagayan de Oro logged 71 active cases.
Of the figure, 24 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 44 were outpatients and three ROFs/LSIs.
The city also registered four new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as “recovered.” This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 19,588.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remained at 852, with no new Covid-related death recorded in Cagayan de Oro.
