THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continued to drop, with 12 additional cases reported over the weekend.
The city now has a total of 20,336 Covid-19 cases.
The City Health Office said of the 12 local cases, six were local index cases, four were close contact of previously confirmed cases, one local authorized person outside residence (Apor), and one mortality.
The active cases in Cagayan de Oro went down to 222, of which 53 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 168 were outpatients, and one ROF/LSI.
Cagayan de Oro also registered an increase in the number of new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as “recovered.”
Over the weekend, the city recorded 29 recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 19,313.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 848.
